Children and Youth Ministry Internship Spring 2026

Description
This internship is a short-term, hands-on ministry opportunity for one individual (open to men and women) to serve alongside our pastor and volunteer staff in children’s and youth ministry from March through May 2026. The intern will help plan, lead, and support weekly programs, special events, and relational ministry with kids, students, and families. This role is designed to provide practical ministry experience, spiritual formation, and mentoring in a local church context for someone discerning a future in ministry or Christian leadership.
*Additional ministry training opportunities are available depending on the interest of the intern including rural ministry emphasis, preaching/teaching, music, weddings and funerals, baptisms, evangelism and local missions, etc.

Stipend: The intern will be compensated a total of $900 for three months to be paid in three monthly installments of $300.
Expectations
o Attend at least 75% of all Sunday morning and Wednesday night gatherings.
o Take an active and growing leadership role in both Children’s and Youth Ministry
o Read one assigned book
o Attend monthly staff/volunteer meetings
Qualifications
o A man or woman exploring a calling to children or youth ministry
o A maturing and growing Christian
o Someone who shares the vision of Little Creek Baptist Church
o In friendly cooperation with Southern Baptist Doctrine
o Ability to pass a background check
Additional Information
o This internship is supervised by Dr. Mark Fugitt, the pastor of Little Creek Baptist Church since 2022.
o LCBC is in the fourth year of a major revitalization effort and has seen significant recent growth. Average Sunday attendance is 160 and average Wednesday night attendance is 80.
